HOW TO PLAY: THE DETECTIVE'S MANUAL

1. Secure Your Clearance (Access Plans) To start an investigation, you must first acquire a Case Access Plan (purchased with real money).
  • The Bonus: Every time you purchase access to a new case, a fixed amount of Investigation Funds is automatically credited to your account to get you started.

2. Manage Your Budget (Investigation Funds) Think of Investigation Funds as your "Difficulty Regulator."
  • Global Currency: Your funds work across ALL cases. You don't need separate wallets for different investigations.
  • Lowering Difficulty: Stuck on a tough lead? Use your funds to unlock classified forensic reports, wiretap transcripts, or suspect profiles. The more funds you use, the clearer the path to the truth becomes.

3. Earning More Funds Running low on budget? You don't always have to pay to get more. You can increase your Investigation Funds by:
  • Completing Achievements: Reach milestones in your investigation to earn "Agency Rewards."
  • Participating in Events: Stay tuned for limited-time events that offer budget bonuses.
  • Refilling at the Terminal: If you want an immediate boost to lower the difficulty, you can purchase Funding Packs at the Office Terminal.

4. The Path to The Oracle (Ranking) As you successfully use evidence to close cases, your Badge will evolve. Move from Associate to Captain, and eventually, The Oracle. Higher ranks prove you can solve mysteries with maximum efficiency.

FAQ

Q: Do my funds only work for one case?

A: No. Your Investigation Funds are global. You can earn funds in one case and spend them to unlock difficult evidence in another.

Q: How does buying funds affect the game?

A: It lowers the difficulty. Having more funds allows you to bypass complex puzzles by unlocking direct intelligence and "Classified" summaries that would otherwise be hidden.

Q: I just bought a Case Access Plan. Where are my funds?

A: They are added automatically! Check your Detective Profile in the Office. Your starting balance for that case should be reflected in your total "Operational Budget."
